I was most impressed by the Event Organisation, having run Events like these myself for nearly 5 years in the past I know what goes into the background’ and what hard work is done generally unseen by the Exhibitors and the Public The Oxford art Fair is a new venture developed and put together by Joelle Dinnage, she is personable and more than that very capable with a passion, I recognise the signs. A very eventful weekend, buzzy, cool, useful, some sales for most, the weather held off ..and I just love Oxford Town centre, it’s so Cosmopolitan, a people watchers dream place!…Yes I do it again at the drop of a hat! Tony Broadbent – Artist.
“Joelle has a passion for art and artists from all genres of the art world. Her enthusiasm, attention to detail, willingness to accommodate the requirements of each individual artist is exemplary and throughout the two-day exhibition, she frequently visited each artist, discussing their work and offering support. It is very easy for exhibition organisers to simply hold the exhibition, take the money and forget about the exhibitors. this was certainly not the case with Joelle. – Angela Grace, Artist
“My husband Paul and I met Joelle at the recent open art exhibition for different artists that she had organised earlier this month in Oxford. Once again we would like to thank Joelle for such a great idea and taking all the trouble to bring art to the people, we so much enjoyed visiting the different artists work which were on display. With warm regards and looking forward to the next exhibition and future events Joelle will be organising. Syma and Paul Sanford
“We just bought a new house in the Cotswold and so this has been a great opportunity to buy art from emerging UK artists. A great variety of art, but once I came across this beautiful piece by Pia Vang, I was sold and had to purchase it. Luckily my husband agreed!!! – visitor from Cotswold
“We were pleasantly surprised by this great event. Not only have we commissioned a piece of art by one of the artists, but also asked the organiser of The Oxford Art Fair to organise a similar event at our country pub in Oxfordshire. We truly enjoyed every minute of it. – visitors from Oxfordshire
It’s been a great opportunity for students to showcase their work, and am happy to have been part of it – Vanessa Walters, Student Artist.
Just like to say a huge thank you to Joelle Dinnage for all her hard work in making The Oxford Art Fair such an amazing event. – Tracey Evans (The Secret Art Loft), Artist
“Loved being a part of the Oxford International Art Fair. Thank you for organising it so well. I was on the point of laying down my paintbrushes forever… but sold enough paintings to allay financial worries with London studio rent until the end of the year and more too… I feel greatly encouraged after the show, not just financially from sales, but also from seeing people’s faces as they saw my paintings and thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with the lovely people of Oxford, together with mixing with the other artists… invaluable experience.” – Dawn Reader
“Six sales for me consisting of an original painting, an original drawing and 4 limited edition prints. met some fantastic new clients and collectors and also made new friends in some fellow artists of Oxford and others from around the globe as well. I have been asked to head up some drawing workshops and demonstrations for an art group in Oxfordshire which I am really excited about! I will definitely be wanting to show again at the next international event. Once again J you did an amazing thing for the Oxford art scene and you should be feeling very proud right now!” – Gareth Lloyd

“I thought the Oxford International Art Fair was great; lots of visitors and in a beautiful venue – I know these things take up a lot of time and effort to organise, thankyou. I had a great time exhibiting my work; it was successful as I sold one of my larger art works that was not exhibited, but that I had the chance to speak to a collector about at the OIAF. Events such as this are great to showcase different colours, sizes and styles of my abstract work and I am delighted that having seen a couple of pieces at the event, visitors have gone away and looked up more of my work via my website http://www.alexisart.co.uk and on facebook. – Alexis

“What an excellent fair in Oxford. Congratulations and good news you are doing it again next year. I made three sales totaling £900 which I was very pleased with. Lots of useful contacts too and I very much enjoyed getting to know my international neighbours, a brilliant painter from Moscow and an artist from Transylvania who is a public prosecutor in her day job. Fascinating. It was great having the staff carrying our art works up to storage! A great city to have a fair in as it seems to be full of art lovers. Thanks for inviting me to attend. Will do it again.” – Sue Hoar
